The take

Seven-time Good Wood winner — the board that does 90% of everything well and makes the other 10% still fun.

The D.O.A. (Defenders of Awesome) is CAPiTA's flagship and best-selling board, and it earned that status by being great at almost everything. True twin, hybrid camber, carbon boosters, Paulownia superlight core — it's the all-mountain freestyle twin that set the standard.

The Resort V1 camber profile puts traditional camber between the feet for pop and edge grip, with zero/reverse camber zones at the contact points for catch-free turn initiation. The P2 Superlight core delivers exceptional springboard-like pop for ollies, jumps, and side hits. The 2x 30mm carbon boosters add snap without stiffening the ride into uncomfortable territory.

On groomers, the D.O.A. carves with above-average edge hold for a freestyle board. In the park, it has enough pop for jumps and enough flex for presses and butters. Switch riding is flawless — it's a true twin in every sense. The sintered Quantum Drive base is a nice upgrade from extruded bases at this price.

No tech changes for 2026 — new graphic only. When you've won Good Wood seven times in a row, you don't fix what isn't broken.
