About DPS

What makes DPS different from other ski brands?

DPS hand-lays every ski with aerospace-grade carbon fiber in Salt Lake City. Most ski brands use industrial presses and wood cores. DPS uses carbon pre-preg layups, proprietary core profiles, and the Phantom permanent base treatment — a process that takes days per pair.

Are you an authorized DPS dealer?

Yes. PTO Ski is an authorized DPS dealer serving the Portland, OR metro area. Every ski comes with full manufacturer warranty.

What is DPS Phantom base treatment?

Phantom is a permanent base treatment that replaces traditional hot waxing. It's a one-time molecular-level application that makes the base permanently hydrophobic. No more waxing, ever. DPS developed it in-house.

Which DPS ski should I get?

The Pagoda series is their flagship — hand-laid carbon, available in waist widths from 87mm to 112mm. The Foundation series offers DPS construction at a more accessible price. Call 971-263-2916 for a personal recommendation.

Do you offer tuning for DPS skis?

Yes. We handle mounting, edge work, and base repair in-house. For Phantom-treated bases, we skip the wax step — the treatment is permanent.

Where are DPS skis made?

Every DPS ski is hand-built in their factory in Salt Lake City, Utah. Production has never been outsourced.
